When you visit Meal Planning Secrets, you’ll notice that I link to various products and services, which may be affiliate links. This means that if you click the link and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you). Specifically, I participate in the following affiliate programs: Amazon Associates, Target Affiliate, Shareasale, Rakuten, and Plan To Eat. To make sure I’m compliant with Amazon, I gotta say this: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Now that the legal stuff is out of the way, I want to explain my position on affiliate links a little more. I will only link to products and services that I use and love, or ones that I want to buy to use and love. If I haven’t tried a product with an affiliate link, I’ll clearly state that in the blog post or page. For example, I might say that I want to buy a Vitamix, and I’ll also tell you that I don’t currently have one but it’s on my wish list. Makes sense, right?
A lot of bloggers write that any money earned helps keep their blogs up and running. I’m taking it a step further: Any money earned helps keep me up and running, too! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so any purchase you make through my affiliate links is appreciated much more than you’ll ever know. Yes, the commissions will cover blog expenses, but they’ll also go toward things like saving money to pay for oral immunotherapy to desensitize my daughter to her life-threatening food allergies. And maybe a vacation. Mama needs a vacation.
Before I finish, I want to emphasize one main point: I will not recommend things simply to make some money. I won’t recommend the most expensive product just to make a larger commission. I know what it’s like to live on a budget and save and pinch pennies, so the last thing I want to do is make you spend money when you don’t need to. I take a minimalistic approach to my meal planning and my kitchen, and my goal with Meal Planning Secrets is to help you do the same thing.
