Now that you have your stores and categories sorted, you can place your ingredients into the right categories. Over time, Plan to Eat will automatically move the ingredients into those stores and categories. Whenever you schedule a menu for the week, I recommend doing a quick check to make sure the items are in the correct store and category.
I do wish that Plan To Eat offered a way to sort the items within each category. Right now, Plan To Eat sorts them in alphabetical order and there isn’t a way to move them around. For example, as I walk through my Ralph’s, I first come across yogurt, then butter, then milk. But in my “Ralph’s – Dairy” category, because the items are sorted alphabetically, the list shows butter, then milk, then yogurt. It’s not a big deal, but it’s something to be aware of. I’ll show you some ways around it in the video below.
